Chapter 16 15.2 Self-Esteem of the Hand

Chapter 16 15. Secondhand Self-Esteem
Obviously, Harry's self-introduction stunned the other party.

After a while, the red-haired boy nervously wiped his palms on his pants, and then stretched out his hand like a little adult: "Hello, I... I'm Ron, Ron Weasley."

He looked nervous, and Harry felt a little guilty: "I'm sorry, I wasn't just now—a lot of people asked..."

"Oh oh oh," obviously after this incident, Ron lost his fanaticism for chasing stars, and finally set his eyes on another beautiful (young) girl of mixed race in the carriage:
"Hello."

Lin An looked at him curiously, and had a preliminary impression of this Ron Weasley with disheveled red hair:

"Hello, my name is Lin An. You can call me Lin."

She smiled beautifully, but 11-year-old Ron Weasley obviously didn't appreciate beauty (especially his peers), and he turned his head and talked to Harry Potter again:
"You are really the famous Harry Potter! Merlin! They all say you beat that man, you are amazing!"

Harry still didn't understand: "What the hell did I—"

However, the child's praise obviously doesn't have much logic to speak of. For example, when Ron changed the subject:
"Why do you keep looking at me? Are my clothes so old—oh my god, if you had five brothers, you'd have old things too."

As he spoke, he seemed eager to prove something, and immediately took out tattered textbooks from his bag, obviously turned his gloves and tools a few times, and even took out a big fat mouse .

"Bill's clothes, and Charlie's wand, and the rat that Percy threw away—that's it, Scabbers, and it's getting old."

He babbled.

"Pussy's going to be a prefect, and Daddy's going to buy him an owl, and they can't afford the first—I mean, just give me Scabbers."

That mouse was really fat, but also really old.Lying there motionless, one suspects that it will die at any moment.

But he is missing a toe.

Lin An carefully looked at the mouse - Banban, Peter Pettigrew.

But she did nothing, just watched.

Harry didn't look at those things, just looked at Ron, who was looking angry, and seemed to see himself-wasn't it the same when he was wearing Dudley's old clothes?
And it was okay not being able to afford a second owl, he was poorer than Ron a month ago.

At this moment, he seemed to be a little touched by what Lin An said at the station.

Thinking about it this way, it seems that I have done a lot of wrong things because of ungratefulness.

But Lin An patted him on the shoulder at this moment: "Harry, where is your handkerchief? Lend it to Ron."

"Oh yes," Harry took out his handkerchief - for which he grabbed a whole bag of Galleons in his arms: "You have a streak of ashes on your nose."

Ron:  …

Ron blushed instantly in embarrassment.

He looked bewildered with shattered pride.

In fact, from Lin An's point of view, she doesn't think there is any embarrassment in using second-hand ones.

But obviously in adolescence, people are usually more sensitive, and the malice they face will be more straightforward, so they want to arm themselves with a decent life.

So she smiled: "Is there any problem with using second-hand ones? I also use second-hand books and tools. I lived under the bridge before school started."

"Ask Harry if you don't believe me, he was broke a month ago -" because the only threepence he had was sent to her.

Harry is indeed a bit reckless, but he is actually very considerate. Ron was unhappy on the train, and he immediately told his tragic story to comfort Ron. He is also a sweetheart (if he doesn’t grow up)
