Fahai travels through Tang Sanzang

Chapter 448 All living beings in the three realms are the scriptures; demoted to the world to suffer

Chapter 448 All living beings in the three realms are the scriptures; demoted to the world to suffer
After many battles, the skills of Sanzang's master and apprentice were naturally revealed in front of the monks in Lingshan.

Although Sanzang never made a real move, it is not difficult to deduce a rough idea just by looking at the abilities of his few disciples and what they have heard about Sanzang's deeds along the way.

And they are also very clear in their hearts that even though they already think that Sanzang is overestimated, in fact the opposite may be the case.

But how deep will Sanzang's mana be?
Is it possible to be comparable to Buddha and Bodhisattva?

Ordinary monks naturally feel that this idea is too bold, but for Buddhas and Bodhisattvas themselves, they don't think it is impossible.

Even if Sanzang's mana is a little worse than theirs, it is definitely not much worse, and it can be said that they are at the same level.

And among their masters and apprentices, apart from Sanzang, there are two others who have such a state of mana.

One is Sun Wukong, who was supposed to become the Dharma protector of Buddhism; the other is "Wujing" who was not in the previous Buddhist plan for Journey to the West.

As for Bajie and Xiaobailong, although they are slightly inferior, the two of them are enough to rank in the forefront among the monks in Lingshan. Maybe they can't be called Zhengguo Bodhisattva, but they are more than enough to be named Zhengguo Bodhisattva.

"Tripitaka."

The Buddha looked in the direction of Sanzang.

"The disciple is here." Fa Hai clasped his hands together, his expression still respectful.

"I know that you have accumulated a lot of doubts in your heart during the journey, and I also know that you have hidden these doubts in your heart, and you want to ask me for advice in this great hall on Lingshan Mountain." The Tathagata Buddha seemed not afraid of Tripitaka's censure, so he took the initiative to ask Tripitaka to speak, "I'm here, but I don't know if you can still use me to explain your doubts?"

Fa Hai thought for a moment, but slowly shook his head.

"Oh?" The Buddha, who was already prepared and had already dealt with it in his heart, rarely showed a puzzled expression, "Why is this?"

"What you hear is not as good as what you see. What you see is not as good as what you experience yourself." Fa Hai didn't shy away from it. Even if it sounds like it sounds, it’s just asking for trouble. Besides, disciples have already got answers to many doubts on this journey to the west. And those who have not yet found the answers, I will keep them first. If I still can’t solve the doubts. When asking the Buddha for advice, please ask the Buddha for forgiveness."

After listening to Sanzang's words, the Buddha looked at Sanzang for a moment, then nodded slowly and said, "Good!"

The Tathagata Buddha knew that Sanzang had some doubts in his heart, and the Bodhisattva naturally knew it too. Besides, Sanzang also said in Lingshan before that he wanted to ask the Buddha some questions.

Although I don't know what made Sanzang change, the Bodhisattva didn't find it strange.

After all, it is not difficult to answer some simple questions with Sanzang's understanding; and those questions that would be difficult for Sanzang may be difficult for the Buddha himself.

And such a question is obviously not suitable to ask the Buddha for advice under the large court.

Sanzang only seems to be reckless, but in fact he hides beauty.

"You don't ask me, but I want to ask you."

I just didn't expect that Sanzang died down, but the Buddha "resurrected the storm".

"Please." Fa Hai was not afraid at all.

"Do you know what the scriptures are?"

Fahai raised his eyebrows, looked at the same place with the Buddha, and said in his heart: This question was originally asked by the little monk to ask the Buddha.

But Fa Hai did not panic, clasped his hands together and said, "All the living beings in the three realms are the scriptures."

Regarding Sanzang's words, the Buddha did not comment, but immediately looked at the monks in the hall and asked, "What do you think?"

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva first said: "The words of the Tripitaka are very good. The scriptures have no form, and are hidden in the three realms. If you can understand the sentient beings in the three realms, you will naturally understand the scriptures."

The Bodhisattva did not say a single word: On the contrary, even if one obtains the "True Sutra", it is difficult to comprehend the Dharma in it.

The Buddha looked around at the monks in the hall, and said, "Let's not mention the monks who practice the Hinayana teachings. I only ask you, the monks who practice the Mahayana Buddhism, have they ever entered the human world for a long time and refined their bodies?"

Most of the monks present bowed their heads and refused to lift them up.

Especially the monks in the several pure lands, they are even more impervious to the human world.

Among the monks present, there are not many who specialize in Hinayana teachings. After all, among the Hinayana teachings, the highest attainment status is Arhatship. Although there is also the attainment status of Pratyekabuddha, it is actually at the same level as Arhat.

Just like the great Venerable Mahakassapa before, he obtained the Arhat status by practicing the Hinayana teachings, and then when he practiced the Mahayana teachings again, he was unwilling to become a Buddha even if he could become a Buddha.

One of the most important reasons why Mahayana teachings can replace Hinayana teachings is to give Hinayana followers the opportunity to become Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

Arhats are Arhats after all, even if they are gods and Buddhas, who wouldn't want to go one step further?

Just like today's heaven, under Zhenjun Erlang's reforms, in addition to the "reincarnation system" of the lower world, there is also a new "promotion system" in the making.

The Zhenjun Temple has already invited all righteous gods from various ministries, and has discussed this matter many times. There have been a lot of rumors in private, and the office efficiency of the Heavenly Court has skyrocketed for a while.

Blindly relying on the punishment of the heavenly rules to restrain the gods in the heaven is not impossible, but the result is also obvious. Everyone just needs to do their job well and make no mistakes.

This greatly reduces the subjective initiative of the gods, Erlang Shen Yang Jian still cares a little bit about this
Many gods who work in the Judicial Temple also complained to Erlang God, saying that their workload here is too great. If they are not following Zhenjun, and Zhenjun has always treated his subordinates well, they would apply for transfer if they say anything. .

Before Erlangshen said anything, the eighth sister who was "internship" with him first started to fight for the colleagues in the Zhenjun Temple, "Cousin Erlang, you have to think of a way, you can't just keep us busy all day long." There is no beginning and no end. Other gods are at ease all day long."

Hearing this, the sixth son of Meishan thought to himself: Why do you guys want to be gods?Let's not mention the second master, after all, he is for the benefit of all beings in the three realms, and we will sacrifice our lives to accompany these brothers.

Can other gods have such a high awareness?

In fact, the Jade Emperor had already thought about rectifying the atmosphere in the heavenly court, and even mentioned this matter to Erlang God, but he never had an opportunity to make a move. In addition, Yang Jian had a lot of things at hand, and he would forget about this matter when he came and went. .

This time, after Bamei's words, Yang Jian picked it up.

It was also because of the reincarnation of the lower realm that all the gods joined the ranks of "inward scrolling" before, which gave Yang Jian a new inspiration. It is to write the "promotion" of the gods into the heavenly rules, so that those who are not willing to The priesthood position, the gods who want to go to the next level will naturally become proactive.

What's more, clearly distinguishing rewards and punishments is not a clever trick at all. Whether it can be effective or not depends entirely on whether those in power can keep their word and be relatively fair.

But the gods in heaven are fixed, unless it is the gods specially conferred by the Jade Emperor, such as "Monarch Equaling Heaven" and "True Lord Erlang", they are basically a radish and a pit. If someone wants to go up, someone will naturally come down.

In comparison, there are not so many restrictions on the promotion of "fruit status" under the Mahayana teaching method.

In addition to relying on their own understanding of Buddhism and self-proving the true fruit, several Buddhas and the leaders of various sects are also eligible to increase the "fruit status", but the fruit status promoted by the Buddha and the leaders is promoted are influenced by them to a certain extent.

At this moment, those who can hold their heads high in the Great Hall of Great Heroes are those familiar Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who left their names in the world in the past.As for those who bowed their heads, even if Fa Hai saw them, he might not be able to recognize their identities.

"Where is the discipline academy?"

"exist!"

Bodhisattva Wei Tuo and Venerable Dharma Precepts led all the monks from the Precepts Academy to leave the class.

"Where are the dossiers I checked earlier?"

"Yes." Bodhisattva Wei Tuo took out a sealed dossier from the cuff of his monk's robe, held it in front of his chest with both hands, and was about to present it to the Buddha.

"Those who have been given the Dharma name can refute." After the Buddha said this sentence, he said to Wei Tuo Bodhisattva: "Just read it directly."

Bodhisattva Wei Tuo sorted out his state of mind a little bit. When he learned that the Buddha asked him to bring this scroll today, he had expected it. Sure enough, the big one is coming!
When Bodhisattva Wei Tuo saw the Sanzang master and disciples seated, he thought that the biggest crisis of the day had passed, but he never expected that the Buddha still had no plans for the monks.

Or in other words, he didn't intend to let himself go.

After all, the Buddha is the Lord of Lingshan, and he is in charge of the Buddhist sect, but the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have done so many unbearable things in private, and the Buddha is naturally to blame.

The Buddha looked at the monks with their heads bowed below, and said in his heart: "If you go wrong, you must correct it. You can't escape, and the poor monk is no exception."

He can't go to reincarnation for no reason, and he still has to start one.

Just relying on the four words "the catastrophe is approaching" is obviously not enough to convince the public, and it will even attract doubts
Now that the catastrophe is coming, it seems unreasonable that the Buddha would not lead all living beings to resist the catastrophe in Lingshan, but escaped to reincarnation.

Wei Tuo Bodhisattva was not afraid of offending people, so he immediately lifted the seal on the file, opened his mouth and pointed out the name of an Arhat, and then explained the precepts he violated one by one.

The arhat's face was pale, and he pleaded guilty immediately without arguing after going out.

What Bodhisattva Wei Tuo found were all facts, and he had already heard that many monks who violated the precepts were punished by the Vinaya Academy, and sooner or later this catastrophe would fall on him.

Even though he had expected it when the Buddha opened his mouth, even though he had prepared himself secretly, he couldn't tell a single lie.

It is also because the precepts he violated are not too big, and the crime does not warrant death, so it has been kept until now.

In fact, there are quite a few monks who break the precepts in Buddhism. They do great evil, but they often break the minor precepts in private.

Especially in "drinking" the most precepts are broken. There are even some bodhisattvas who specially raise people in a Buddhist country, and they brew fine wine full-time in the Buddhist country to satisfy their own appetites.

Depending on the severity of the plot, some were fined to face the wall, some were sent to "professional status", and some were directly sent to reincarnation.

Now the dharma name is on the file, and those who can still participate in this grand meeting in Lingshan are actually two extremes.

First, the precepts they violated are really not big.It is not even necessary to mention them in this big court; secondly, some high-status Buddhists, when Wei Tuo Bodhisattva investigated, although they found evidence, they did not act rashly and kept going. Now that the Tathagata Buddha spoke, he naturally explained the things he had found out in front of the monks.

One by one.

When the first Bodhisattva was named out of the queue, the scene was slightly chaotic, but when Wei Tuo Bodhisattva presented the evidence of his "baby abuse" in front of the monks, no one interceded for him.
And he was exempted from the "Bodhisattva" status by the Buddha himself, and his mana was taken away, and he was knocked down from Lingshan and demoted to the human world to suffer.

Seeing this, the Great Sage couldn't help but sneered.

When Bajie saw it, he asked curiously, "Brother, why do you look like this?"

As he said that, Bajie imitated the face of the Great Sage and made an expression that he thought was exactly the same.

Wu Jing glanced at it, and thought that although the expressions of the two senior brothers were still somewhat different, the sarcasm inside them was exactly the same.

"Relegated to the world to suffer."

The Great Sage repeated the words from the Buddha's mouth, but he did not lower his voice. It seemed that he was explaining to Bajie, but in fact he wanted to express his thoughts in public, "Listen to this In other words, what kind of place do the gods and Buddhas regard the human world? Why do they always have to be punished to suffer in the human world? How bitter is the human world for them, it is considered a place of exile.”

Only then did the Great Sage say this.

Even the Buddha and the Bodhisattva both trembled in their hearts.

On the other hand, Fahai said to Wukong: "The human world is a sea of suffering. The so-called success of cultivation is to get rid of the sea of suffering."

Fa Hai's words were not polite, "Those who have achieved true fruition have passed through the sea of suffering, how can they be willing to sink into the sea of suffering again after landing?"

Just like bodhisattvas, those who have attained the enlightenment of the true Dharma and the Tathagata will give up, of course, they are a minority, otherwise, wouldn't there be bodhisattvas everywhere in the world?

There is nothing wrong with being alone.

However, the Hinayana sects, who originally took self-sacrifice as their key point, were not involved in this liquidation, and they escaped disaster by accident.

But when the name of the first "Buddha" was uttered from the mouth of Wei Tuo Bodhisattva, the scene, which was not peaceful at first, became more and more noisy and all the monks were in danger.

Dainichi Tathagata did not expect that things would develop in such a direction, and he was a little surprised for a while. Because this Buddha is also a practitioner of esoteric Buddhism, he also wanted to recruit the other party into esoteric Buddhism.

But the evil deeds committed by the other party one after another made Da Ri Tathagata wish to set fire to him and burn him to death.
