Fahai travels through Tang Sanzang

Chapter 127 What Scripture Is This?

Chapter 127 What Scripture Is This?
"Elephant Buddha, please take your seat, and wait for your disciples to discuss the Dharma with this great Tang monk."

The abbot and elder bowed to the elephant Buddha, and all the monks in the monastery quickly bowed down: "I pay homage to the elephant Buddha."

Just like they trusted Master Sanzang just now, seeing that the hosts of this academy call him "Xiang Buddha", it is naturally correct.

They all realized at this moment, like a Buddha, like a Buddha, shouldn't it be like a human head?

Many devout monks couldn't help weeping with joy, because the elephant Buddha hadn't appeared for a long time, so the outside world continued to gossip. In addition, the king closed the temple before, and if the royal incense was not left, it would have almost broken their faith.

Seeing the true body of Xiangfo now, it is naturally hard to hide the excitement in my heart.

Master Sanzang watched clearly from the side. He saw the empathy from the heart when he saw these monks and the gods and Buddhas he enshrined and worshiped. For some reason, he suddenly thought of the scene in the Guanyin Temple that day.

What is the difference between what the abbots and elders of the two houses did?

But from this point of view, as long as there is kindness in the heart, it does not depend on the authenticity of the Buddha statues enshrined.

Master Sanzang had seen it clearly last night, so he naturally knew how well the abbot elder's Dharma practice was, but at this moment, seeing that he dared to appoint him and really wanted to protect the fate of this little elephant, he couldn't help but feel emotional.

The little elephant originally wanted to say some harsh words, but now seeing the monks worshiping him, he also raised his airs, and told the abbot and elder: "Just for you to discuss the Dharma with him, I will fight for you , help you to win!"

"Listen here." When the little elephant was about to sit down to watch the ceremony, he still seemed uneasy. He looked around at Master Sanzang and his party, especially at his disciples with fierce looks, and said, "Wait a minute If you lose, don't deny it. If you rely on the number of people, you will be arrogant and bully my old abbot. Hmph, don't blame me for being hard!"

The Great Sage and the others felt amused when they heard the little elephant's words, and they only said that this fake Buddha, although he was a bit arrogant, he also had some loyalty.

Much more interesting than the vicious monsters I met before.

Thinking of that black bear spirit, he wanted to get a positive result, but his heart was dark, so it would be fine to snatch the cassock, and even kill the abbot of the Guanyin Temple; Dao's spirit rat, isn't it eating people to make a disaster?
On the contrary, this little elephant, who has been sealed in this golden body for a hundred years and has been a false Buddha for 200 years, has revealed his true nature.

The Great Sacred Heart said: Just focus on this point. If you have a conflict with Master for a while, my old grandson will also ask for your kindness.

The king looked at the elephant Buddha, and said in his heart: "It's not a vicious demon Buddha. How can I ask for virgins as sacrifices?"

The elder abbot set up an incense table, and all the monks first paid homage to the Tathagata under his leadership, and then spread out the Dharma field and laid down two futons.

"Please."

The elder abbot invited Master Sanzang to sit down.

"Please."

Fahai also invites you.

After the two parties sat down and bowed to each other, the abbot and elder said, "Master, please enlighten me."

Still the same sentence, he didn't know the details of Master Sanzang, but he understood his own difficulties. Instead of revealing the truth first, it would be better to read the Dharma of Master Sanzang first, so that he can deal with it.

Fahai thought for a while, and said: "The merits of the Tathagata, if all the Buddhas in the ten directions, have passed through the indescribable and indescribable Buddhalands for countless kalpas, and continued to speak, it is inexhaustible! If you want to achieve this door of merit, you should practice ten kinds How many vows are ten?"

This is an introductory question.

The elder abbot didn't know the depth of Fa Hai, but Fa Hai had found out their details last night, this time it didn't seem like he was talking about Buddhism, but it seemed like he was preaching scriptures.

There are very few scriptures in Baoxiang Buddhist Temple, and even fewer complete Buddhist scriptures.

What he said at the moment was taken from the [Vows of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva to Enter the Realm of Inconceivable Liberation] in the [Dafang Guangfo Dharma Flower Sutra]. The son of the white elephant with spiritual teeth under the seat of Puxian Bodhisattva can also be regarded as a predestined method.

After all, in Fahai now, the Buddhist scriptures in his mind already cover everything. Mahayana, Hinayana and outer esoteric sects can be said to have learned from the best of all schools. In addition, even the Bodhisattva recognized him as Jin Chanzi's true spiritual recovery, so there is no need to deliberately hide these Mahayana Dharma.

The elder abbot was silent, he didn't know this scripture.

Seeing that the abbot elder was silent, the little elephant couldn't get anything out after careful thought, so he opened his mouth on top and said, "What kind of scripture is this, why haven't I heard it before?"

He also worked hard yesterday, and he had already read the scriptures in the temple overnight.

Fahai spoke slowly: "Puxian Bodhisattva's vows."

hiss--

The little elephant took a deep breath, and now he really lost his temper.

When he and Fa Hai looked at each other, he had no confidence at all. Could it be that his heels were all seen through? Otherwise, why did he choose this one when he didn't choose so many scriptures?
Isn't this pointing at yourself?
Thinking like this, the little elephant seemed to have seen the answer in Fa Hai's eyes. He saw words like: "That's right, the poor monk has seen the true shape of you, a monster" from those bright stars.

If it wasn't for the fact that his body had transformed so far, he couldn't even help but transform into his original form under his gaze!

Damn!

Is he really a monk? !

The whole body of the little elephant couldn't help trembling slightly. He didn't know what would happen to him in the future. Was he exposed to the Bodhisattva, so he gave up the idea of cultivating a righteous fruit?
But he has been banned for 200 years, and he is about to succeed. He even regrets it at this moment, regretting why he talked to the king at that time.

It was all because of a mistake in my own mind that I personally ruined my future, and now I have attracted a great monk from the Tang Dynasty.
When he looked at Master Sanzang again, there seemed to be some pleading in his eyes, and he wanted to ask the great Tang monk to let him live.

The elder abbot seemed to have a new sense of consciousness, he saw the fear in the eyes of the "little elephant", and said in his heart: I guessed it right, this little elephant is a spirit here to enjoy incense, not a real Buddha.

Seeing his horrified expression when he heard "Psalmancy Bodhisattva" at this moment, he suddenly remembered that he had seen it in an isolated copy back then, and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva appeared riding a white elephant.
There is already a bit of clarity and relaxation in my heart, but there is also a bit of reluctance in my heart.

The ease is that, after all, the "Elephant Buddha" that I have enshrined all my life is the mount of a Bodhisattva, not a monster.

The reluctance is that if his identity is exposed, his future may be uncertain. Although the "Baoxiang Buddhist Sutra" he recited is fake, he lived to be more than 70 years old, and the reason is clear.

With the body of a demon, in the name of a true Buddha, the audience will be incensed. I am afraid that it is not something that can be solved by simple punishment.

"Alas—" the abbot elder sighed, and said: "Although the poor monk has never learned this scripture, he still has some shallow views. If there are many people who make vows: one is to respect, the other is to practice, the third is to practice, and the fourth is to repent. , five."

The elder abbot seemed to be unable to continue, but Fa Hai asked, "One respect, what do you respect?"

The elder abbot thought for a while and said, "Respect the Buddha."

Fahai deliberately said: "Only respect the Buddha? Are the heavens and the earth respectable? Are all living beings respectable? Are you and me respectable?"

The elder abbot was stunned for a moment, as if he wanted to get some evidence from what he had learned, but he heard Master Sanzang laughing, "Puxian Bodhisattva said, first, pay respect to all Buddhas."

The elder abbot's eyes lit up, but before he could feel happy, Master Sanzang continued: "Salting is not reverence, but a respectful heart, which spreads all over the body and mouth, and worships. That is, the mind visualizes, the body prostrates, and the mouth recites everything. Those who are honored."

The so-called Buddhas are like rituals, there are many and endless, there are Buddhas in every dusty place, the heaven and the earth are Buddhas, all living beings are Buddhas, you and I are Buddhas. All dharmas have no birth, all dharmas have no extinction
This last sentence, Fa Hai just thought about it in his heart, but didn't say it out, after all, these words were still a bit difficult for the elder abbot in front of him to digest.

The elder abbot has gained a lot, and when he was realizing it, he heard Fahai ask him: "What is the cultivation of the two?"

"Slimming?"

Fahai said again: "Puxian Bodhisattva said: The three make offerings extensively."

The little elephant also saw that Master Sanzang, under his pleading eyes, did not make trouble for himself, but concentrated on discussing the Dharma with the presiding elder, and listened carefully. At this moment, he saw that Fahai skipped two, and went directly to Yan San , There was a tingle in my heart, and I couldn't help asking: "God monk, what is the second?"

Seeing that everyone was looking at him, the little elephant shook his nose and said, "Can't you ask?"

Can, why not.

The abbot and elder simply bowed to Fa Hai and said sincerely: "Please don't hesitate to teach the Dharma."

Seeing this, all the monks also bowed down one after another: "Please teach the Dharma——"

Fahai glanced at the little elephant, and the little elephant was shocked, so I didn't need to talk too much.

He looked at the kneeling monks again, and naturally knew how important what this monk said was to them.

In fact, last night, the elder abbot had already explained to him that the chances of winning today are not great. The main reason is that their "Baoxiang Buddhist Sutra" has 200 years of experience, and it is indeed a fake Buddhist scripture. Years, but I am afraid that the land of China really has inheritance.

When he heard about Puxian Bodhisattva just now, he already knew something bad was going on, but he was still lucky, but now he couldn't pretend anymore.

This time it is doomed, the little elephant sighed in his heart, and said: "Just ask the divine monk to teach the Dharma, I am willing to let—"

"good."

Fa Hai didn't wait for the little elephant to finish speaking, he nodded in response, he had no intention of using this to threaten the little elephant to submit, but subconsciously probed his character again.
"Amitabha Buddha." Fahai stopped being tricky, and finished in one breath, "What are ten? One, pay homage to all Buddhas. Two, praise the Tathagata. Three, extensively practice offerings. Fourth, repent of karma. Sixth, please transfer the Dharma. Seventh, invite the Buddha to live in the world. Eighth, always follow the Buddha's study. Ninth, persevere and obey all living beings. Tenth, universally dedicate."

Then explain and explain one by one. During this period, I didn't mix my special views on the top ten vows of the author, but simply explained the connotation.

Even so, it also made everyone present mesmerized.

This is all due to Fa Hai's profound Buddhist teachings, and he is often able to use the most concise words to describe the profound meaning contained in it.

The abbot, the abbot, burst into tears for a moment. He had practiced Buddhism all his life, but he never thought that he would be able to listen to the wonderful voice of the Holy Buddha when he was about to die.

"Moo-"

The little elephant couldn't help making the original sound, which attracted everyone's attention.

This is the end of the vow of Samantabhadra, Fahai looked at the little elephant and said, "Xiangfo—"

"The god monk will kill me!" The little elephant kept shouting, not daring to do so.
