Chapter 30: Someone Above Me

"When is the next time you see him?"

Peggy ignored the happy Monica and asked little Sheldon over the phone.

"I asked, he only takes physics classes."

Little Sheldon said unhappy: "The next physics class is at two o'clock in the afternoon the day after tomorrow."

After finding out that Chuck couldn't be helped, he asked Beverly to look it up and found that his and Chuck's courses intersected only with Alicia Harper's physics class.

Little Sheldon, who originally wanted to avoid Chuck, was unwilling to admit defeat, and it was difficult for him to accept that he was asked to drop class.

He, Sheldon Lee Cooper, never gave up!
Peggy hung up the phone and looked at Monica who was preoccupied with her own thoughts: "We will go to Princeton University at 2 pm the day after tomorrow!"

"That won't work, you have class that day."

As a qualified guardian, Monica firmly remembered Peggy's class schedule, shaking her head and denying Peggy's breaking the rules.

"Do you still want to see your Chuck?"

Peggy reminded.

"...I don't need to see him like this."

Monica was confused for a moment, but she still shook her head: "I have his phone number."

This is her job, and her obsessive-compulsive disorder makes her have to do it well.

"Then why don't you fight?"

Peggy smiled playfully: "Besides, asking him out, can it be compared to meeting him on campus? You're a girl, do you know what it means to be reserved?"

"You do not understand."

Monica said bluntly: "For Chuck, the need is the girl's initiative. He has severe autism."

"It's Asperger's Syndrome!"

Peggy corrected blankly.

"Yes, it's Asperger's syndrome."

Monica reacted and nodded again and again.

She almost forgot that they were all geniuses, and the master in front of her also had this symptom more or less.

"There is only one class in the afternoon. After you finish the class, I will drive you there immediately. You should be able to catch up. What do you think?"

Monica softened her heart when she saw that Peggy had a stern face and stopped talking. In addition, she was also looking forward to this encounter with Chuck on campus, so she proposed in a tangled way.

"That's it, Mona."

Peggy smiled.

"It's Monana!"

Monica protested.

"Okay, Mona."

Peggy chuckled.

Monica had no choice but to let Peggy yell and let Peggy learn, while she helped clean up the whole room.

Originally, there were special cleaners who came to clean regularly, and she, the guardian, was not needed to do it. But as a patient with obsessive-compulsive disorder, she had reservations about the cleaning level of the cleaners, so she couldn't help but take the initiative to clean up, over and over again, until she is satisfied.

This is one of the advantages that Peggy can accept her.

After all, if Peggy doesn't agree, it's useless even if the school wants to hire Monica again.

After all, it was Columbia who begged Peggy more than Peggy begged Columbia.

Because there are many prestigious schools like Columbia University, but there are too few gifted girls like Peggy who can go to college with a super high IQ at the age of 11, and they are always the treasures that are being fought for everywhere.

Two days passed quickly.

Another physics class begins.

Chuck came on time.

"Hi, Chuck."

After Cheryl and her best friend Justin opened the door and came in, they saw Chuck, Cheryl took Justin and sat in the back row, and greeted Chuck with a smile.

Chuck nodded to them.

"You studied accounting before."

Before the professor was there, Cheryl took the initiative to find someone to chat with.

"Ah."

Chuck responded.

"It's good to be an accountant."

Cheryl smiled and said, "If I'm not bad at math, I'd like to learn it too."

Seeing that Chuck didn't respond, Cheryl couldn't help but glanced at her best friend Justine.

Justin was speechless.

What are you looking at me for?
She has never met such a man who can't chat, or even doesn't want to chat.

Although she is not particularly beautiful, she is young and energetic. She talked with her childhood sweetheart boyfriend Alan in high school. The two have a very good relationship. She is talented and he is also rich. They worked hard together and went to Princeton University together. The relationship is very good. Stablize.

She doesn't know how to fall in love with a man like Chuck.

"Since you are an accountant, why are you a detective?"

Seeing the pitiful eyes of his best friend asking for help, Justin could only bite the bullet and go on, picked up the topic, and continued to chat, so as not to let the air suddenly be quiet for too long.

Fortunately, after meeting Chuck two days ago, when they returned to the dormitory, they checked the business card given by Chuck online, and learned some public information about Chuck.

They are not surprised by young geniuses and the like.

But for the detective label on Chuck's business card, he was very curious and puzzled.

"Math doesn't lie."

Chuck shot her a look. "Accountants have the advantage of being detectives. Your bills and tax returns are honest about who you really are."

Justin was taken aback.

It does make sense.

But she was smart and immediately thought of another key question: "Aren't bills and tax returns confidential? How do you find out?"

"correct."

Seeing her best friend hold the topic, Cheryl secretly heaved a sigh of relief, and then began to answer the conversation: "Tax returns are the hardest thing to get."

Compared with Justine, a best friend from an ordinary family, Cheryl's family allows her to know more about the situation of American law enforcement agencies.

She knows the authority of law enforcement agencies. The Internal Revenue Service is actually a more powerful existence than the FBI that people often see knocking on doors and shouting warnings in movies and TV dramas.

Just to give you a simple example, there are often plots of black FBI, black police, black army and black army hacking all government structures in film and television dramas, but basically there is no black IRS.

Because of that old saying: In America only death and taxes are inevitable.

Who would dare to blackmail the Internal Revenue Service, which is responsible for taxation that exists as much as death?

And because of the high authority, even if the law is passed, it is much more difficult than other situations to apply to the court judge to inspect the tax situation of the person under investigation.

Without him!

The IRS needs to protect its top taxpayers: the criminals!

Because once you can look at criminals' tax bills casually, which criminal is willing to pay taxes?

That's a lot of knife music.

For the sake of justice or something, that is a matter for other departments, not the IRS. Unless your departments stop taking salary budgets, don't think about the IRS's confidentiality, and find another way to handle the case.

The formal process is so difficult, let alone a private detective like Chuck.

The tax return that Chuck said can show the most real situation of a person. Even if it is true in theory, it is almost impossible to achieve in practice.

Chuck didn't speak, just glanced at them.

Cheryl and Justine, one knowledgeable and the other intelligent, were immediately thoughtful.

Yeah, I got it.

This is someone above.

As long as the relationship is strong enough, obtaining relevant information and being more cautious is only a means of understanding information. It is not impossible for criminals to actively pay taxes and affect the enthusiasm of criminals.

Most of those private detectives quit their job as police detectives, and then used their previous connections to work as private detectives.

It's really against the rules or even against the law, but no one will arrest their own people.
