Chapter 30 Undercurrent
On the border of Zaan's middle layer, in the underground facility of a certain alchemy workshop.

A bald and strong man with a height of at least two meters and a tattoo in the style of the Baju people on the Bilgewater Python Islands and a gangster with yellow sky-high hair were punching and kicking a boy with yellow hair lying on the ground.

The middle-parted boy covered his head with his hands, and curled up into a ball, "Don't, stop beating!"

He spat out blood, and pleaded to a lean middle-aged man sitting on a chair playing with a metal injection device in the shadow not far away.

The bald-headed man with sky-high hair looked back at the man in the distance.

After getting his signal, they pushed the boy down on the chair, and pressed the iron rod they had just used against his throat.

"Deka, I told you that you just need to monitor them." The middle-aged man's voice has a mature magnetic beauty, "but what about you? You and your stupid companions actually shot them."

He stuffed a tube of purple liquid into the syringe in his hand, then pressed the button to his left eye.

"You got me into trouble, and now their friend is asking about you everywhere, and I don't intend to take such a risk."

"Hold...Sorry! I really...I really didn't know they could fight so well..." Deka begged for mercy, "Moreover, they entered my territory, and they provoked first!"

"You're making excuses for your incompetence." The middle-aged man snorted coldly, with a little anger in his tone, "Since that's the case, there's no need for me to keep you..."

As soon as the man finished speaking, the bald hand holding the iron rod against Deka's throat gradually increased its strength.

Due to the great pressure on his throat, Deka's face turned red, unable to catch his breath.

Feeling the passing of his own life, he exhausted all his strength and squeezed out a sentence intermittently: "Please... please give me... a chance, I... will not... let... disappoint..."

The middle-aged man waved his hand, and the bald head relaxed his strength.

"Cough, cough, cough..." Relieved, Deka coughed violently, breathing in the air greedily.

With the sound of gentle footsteps, the middle-aged man came out from the shadows.

He was wearing a red shirt and a black vest, combed his hair delicately back, his complexion was extremely pale, and the left half of his face was almost half-disfigured, full of hideous scars.

The most eye-catching thing is his obviously abnormal left eye. The eyeball that should be white is completely covered by black, and the dim golden and red eyes reflect the cold pupil light, just like the eyes of a devil.

His name is Shirko.

"If there is a chance, I can give it to you."

Silko walked up to Deka slowly, put his hand on his shoulder lightly, with a smile that could not see any smile on his face.

"It's just up to you if you want to."

When Deka heard that Silko was willing to give him a chance, his face was full of hope, he nodded frantically, and said hoarsely: "Yes! Of course I am willing! Whatever you do!"

"very good."

Shirko asked his subordinates to release Deka, pulled his arm to make him stand up, and helped him tidy up his clothes with a smile.

Then, his gaze turned to a corner of the room filled with bottles and jars filled with purple liquid.

There stood another middle-aged man with a slightly bald head, high cheekbones, deeply sunken cheeks, and an equally lean figure.

He was holding a test tube filled with a purple liquid, using a dropper to draw some liquid from a Erlenmeyer flask, and then dripping it into the test tube.

In an instant, countless bubbles popped out of the test tube.

Silko walked behind the busy man with his hands behind his back, "Singed, how is the progress of the experiment?"

"It's almost finished." Singed shook the test tube and observed, while responding.

"Demonstrate."

Following Shirko's order, Singed walked to a large breeding barn on the other side of the room, picked up a Sphinx cat lying outside the glass, and stared at the barn.

"Come on, have a meal."

With that said, Singed put the cat into the training chamber, and then locked the metal latch on the top.

In the training cabin, there is a little white mouse lying on the ground and sleeping.

The pupils of the sphinx cat stood up, lowered its body, and approached its prey lightly.

Shirko beckoned to Deka and asked him to follow him to the training barn, "Are there any side effects?"

"Not stable enough." Singed knocked on the glass, waking up the sleeping mouse.

Seeing the approaching natural enemy, the trained mice subconsciously ran to the rear, pointed their mouths at the opening of the tube filled with purple liquid, and started sucking.

After swallowing a considerable part of the purple liquid, the little white mouse convulsed and fell to the ground, screaming miserably.

At the same time, its dilated pupils mutated, and the blood vessels all over its body protruded from the skin, showing the same color as the liquid in the jar.

Along with the purple blood vessel patterns all over the mouse's body, its bones and muscles began to pile up abnormally.

In just two or three seconds, the little white mouse has turned into a monster that is bigger than the natural enemy in front of it.

The cat's back was arched high, and it subconsciously took a few steps back in fear.

Both Shirko and Deka stared at the training chamber with their eyes widened.

Immediately afterwards, the little white mouse let out a tyrannical roar, and in the blink of an eye, it rushed to the cat half a meter away and knocked it against the glass of the cultivation chamber.

A splatter of blood spurted on the shattered glass like a spider web, and the white mouse easily pierced the cat's throat with its sharp teeth.

After a shrill scream, only the "creak" sound of chewing flesh and bones remained in the training chamber.

Seeing the scene in front of him, Deka looked horrified, "What the hell is this?!"

"Didn't you volunteer to come here just now?" Silko glanced sideways at Deka.

"What?! No...Impossible, I will die if I drink this stuff!" Decarian took several steps back, until he hit the table and stopped.

Silko was not angry, but said in a calm tone: "I will teach you a very important secret law. When I realize it, I will be as old as you."

Seeing the man walking towards him step by step, Deka leaned back as much as possible, with deep fear in his eyes.

"Power." Silko spit out a word, and took a bottle of purple liquid test tube from the table.

"True power will never come to the guy who is born stronger, faster, smarter, never... it will come to the guy who will do whatever it takes to get it."

Shirko handed the potion to the boy.

Panting heavily, Deka hesitantly glanced at Singed who was still standing in front of the training cabin.

"You'll be fine, kid."

damn it!How can this be all right? !
Deka roared in his heart, but his trembling hand unconsciously reached out to the potion in Silko's hand.

"There is a monster in everyone's heart, now, let the monster in your heart crawl out."

Shirko's step-by-step bewitchment broke through the last line of defense in Deka's heart.

"Damn it!" He resignedly grabbed the potion and stuffed it into his mouth.

Under the effect of the medicine, Deka, like the little white mouse in the previous training room, knelt down on the ground clutching his neck in pain, and his body changed rapidly.

"Uhhhhh..."

Silko looked down at the screaming Deka condescendingly, without a trace of pity on his face.

"That guy promised I'd screw up Uptown, and now we're going to deal with Vandel..."

He looked up slightly at the ceiling with a thoughtful expression.

then……

 Forgot the time. . .
