Song Qingshu of Wudang Mountain

Chapter 18 Water Flooded the Buddha's Knees and Burned Lingyun Grotto

Chapter 18 Water Flooded the Buddha's Knees and Burned Lingyun Grotto

On the eighth day of June, it was the scene of scorching sun and scorching earth. The flowers on Wudang Mountain were in full bloom, the vegetation was lush, and the forest was quiet and deep. It's so beautiful, people can't help but stop to appreciate it, and give a big praise, it's a blessed place.

On the mountain path, two figures, an old man and a young man, are walking out at this moment. The old man is dressed in a Taoist robe, with white beard and white hair. It is tied neatly behind the head to form a ponytail, bouncing up and down with the steps, looking like a fairy boy.

The old and the young came from the mountains, with their feet on the clouds and their sleeves wrapped around the glow, if they were seen by ordinary people, they would inevitably kneel down and call them immortals.

These two people are Zhang Sanfeng, the head of the Wudang School, and Song Qingshu, his young disciple.

The two of them went down the mountain this time for two things, one was to find a way to cure Yu Daiyan, and the other was a private matter that Zhang Sanfeng didn't make clear to Song Qingshu, that was the matter of Yitianjian.

Two months ago, when Yu Daiyan was seriously injured and went back to the mountain, Song Qingshu was furious for a moment and attracted Yitianjian to fly to kill the three members of Longmen Bodyguard Bureau Du Dajin, but was blocked by Zhang Sanfeng, but Yitianjian was stopped by Emei faction Jingxuan The teacher saw that before leaving, the teacher Jingxuan had a private conversation with Zhang Sanfeng, and the talk was about the Yitian sword.

It's just that Zhang Sanfeng was in a turbulent mood at the time, and he didn't have the heart to talk about it, so he told Jingxuan that after Yu Daiyan's incident, he took the Yitian sword to Emei and returned it to the original owner.

It's just that Yu Daiyan was still seriously injured, and he couldn't go down the mountain for a while, so he put this time behind him.

A few days ago, a disciple sent a handwritten letter from Master Juejue, head of the Emei School, to Wudang. Difficult, Emei will help, and at the end of the letter, Zhang Sanfeng was vaguely reminded of the return of the Yitian sword to its original owner.

So Lao Dao decided to take Song Qingshu down the mountain, first return the Yitian sword to its original owner, and then go to Zhongnan Mountain to find clues to Xiantian skills.

"Grandpa, why did you return the Yitian Sword to Emei?" Song Qingshu asked, he had an inexplicable connection with the Yitian Sword, especially when he held the Yitian Sword, he could clearly feel a feeling of flesh and blood. Although the Yitian Sword is not as heavy as the Dragon Slaying Saber, it is definitely not light, but Song Qingshu holds it in his hand like an arm, picking up the Yitian Sword is like lifting his own arm, without any effort, so he is a little bit reluctant , and also unwilling that the old Taoist would return the Yitian Sword to Emei.

The old Taoist flicked on his head and said: "Why do you look like your sixth uncle? You didn't see him holding the Yitian sword just now and not letting go. I felt ashamed when I saw it."

While talking, he tightened his belt, and the Yitian sword was tied on the waistband of the veteran.

"Little Qingshu, you have to remember that kung fu is accomplished at the root and destroyed by objects. Only when you are strong can you not be affected by external objects and be invincible. Although this Yitian sword is good, it is not my Wudang sword. It is only natural for things to be returned to their original owners.”

Song Qingshu looked at the old Taoist with dark eyes and asked, "Isn't it really because of Grandma Guo Xiang that you treat Emei like this?"

Hearing this, the old Taoist suddenly tripped over a stone and staggered. With his kung fu, even if he tripped over a stone, he could kick it into pieces. How could he almost trip over it? It can be seen that he heard Guo Xiang's words. Two words, he also lost his mind for a moment.

"Who did you listen to?" the old Taoist asked with a long face.

Song Qingshu immediately betrayed his parents: "Listen to what my father and mother said."

The old Taoist pretended to be angry and said, "Don't eavesdrop on the elder's speech next time, or your earlobe will be rotted. Did you hear that?"

"Understood." Song Qingshu was especially obedient at the moment.

The two of them were talking on the lips, but there was wind under their feet, and they soon came to the foot of the mountain.

Zhang Sanfeng looked at the road in the distance and said to Song Qingshu: "Grandpa didn't want to take you with me on this trip, but grandpa knows that if you don't take you along, you might sneak down the mountain alone, so I took you." Going down the mountain. But this time the journey is long and the boats and vehicles are exhausting. First, you are not allowed to complain about suffering, and you are not allowed to complain about being tired. Third, you must remember to listen more, watch more, think more, do more, and practice more, but you must talk less. You must know the disease From the mouth, misfortune comes from the mouth. How many of the grievances and resentments in the Jianghu all started with a single sentence. Do you remember?"

Song Qingshu nodded, indicating that he remembered it.

So, as soon as he was old, he set foot on the road to Emei. It was nearly two thousand miles from Wudang to Emei. It took nearly a month and a half to enter Sichuan.

Along the way, from Hubei to Sichuan, different customs, different accents, different food cultures, and different ways of doing things all opened Song Qingshu's horizons. What he saw and heard along the way left a deep impression on Song Qingshu's young heart, and invisibly gave him a more intuitive observation of the world, especially the various grievances, hatreds, ups and downs, and bitterness encountered along the way, all became a part of the story. The wisdom and capital of a child to establish the three outlooks on life, coupled with the guidance of a man who is almost a hundred years old, allows him to see the essence of things as quickly as possible. I have to say that this trip , played a vital role in Song Qingshu's future growth.

The experience of the past two months has made this lonely and aloof child restrained, but it does not mean disappearing, but burying the aloofness from his face and into his heart. He may have seen people or things that he was not interested in before. Don't look at it, don't pay attention at all.But now he is interested in observing everything around him, and now he is more willing to stand on the sidelines of the bystander, to figure out the inner changes of the person involved, to understand what a certain person will do under a certain situation Choice and judgment. But what puzzles him is that most people will choose the direction that suits their own interests or harms the interests of others. Zhang Sanfeng calls this - human nature!
Thus, this two-year-old child discovered for the first time that human nature is so ugly.

Zhang Sanfeng saw all this in his eyes, but did not stop it. This was his first step in educating Song Qingshu. For this naturally extraordinary disciple, the old Taoist had always been worried in his heart. There is no doubt that Song Qingshu will become a great weapon in the future. But whether the name will last forever, or whether it will be reviled by thousands of people, is often in his mind.

Lao Dao wants to use this long trip to complete the establishment of Song Qingshu's inner concept of right and wrong, good and evil, let him understand what is really good and evil, let him draw a "way" in his heart, this way is good, true, It is beauty, and it is also the "bottom line" for him to walk in the world in the future.

If Zhang Sanfeng was allowed to choose, he would rather Song Qingshu go through this life in a normal way than to be spit on by his ups and downs.

It's a pity that he can't explain these famous words to Song Qingshu, but needs Song Qingshu to understand it himself. It doesn't matter if he can't understand it now, as long as he can abide by his own "Tao" and keep the bottom line in his heart when he needs to make a choice someday in the future, Then it won't be that bad.

This is also the life experience that Lao Dao has summed up in the past hundred years. The Wudang Seven Heroes all came here.

On this day, the grandfather and grandson came to Leshan and heard that there is a giant Buddha in Leshan, which is built on the mountain, adjacent to the water, and looking across the river, it is as high as the sky.It was also the two who were going to look for the big Buddha first to see if it was taller than the sky.

After visiting for a long time, they finally found the place where the three rivers converge. The two hired a boat and asked the boatman to row to the foot of the Buddha.

The boatman was specialized in running the boat in this area, and he was very familiar with the water conditions in this area, so he soon took the two of them to the foot of the Buddha. When there was still some time away from the Buddha, the boatman pointed to a mountain in the distance and told the two that the Buddha was sitting there. Song Qingshu stretched his neck to look at it, but because of the angle, he could not see the Buddha. Seeing the whole picture, he urged the boatman to row faster.

Soon, the boat came to the foot of the Buddha. Looking up from the bow, the Buddha was majestic and majestic, and his slightly closed eyes watched everyone who came to his feet. However, due to disrepair for a long time, the body of the Buddha was covered with green. Weeds and moss, only a pair of feet and a Buddha head can be seen clearly.

At this time, the boatman said to Song Qingshu: "Son, do you know that there is such a saying among us." His words had a strong Sichuan accent, but Song Qingshu could already understand them.

He asked, "Spoken words?"

Seeing that he learned to speak by himself, the boatman thought it was funny and played with him: "It is said that there is a monster living in this mountain, which often comes out to cause harm to the world and eats people everywhere. Draw three big rivers around the golden body, and the demons are only allowed to come out for a few days when the water is swollen every year, and they can't run far. So the big Buddha in front of you is the golden body of Buddha, so I have to respect it."

Zhang Sanfeng listened amusedly, interjected: "Old Daoist, I never heard of this legend when I was young."

Seeing that the white-bearded Taoist doubted him, the boatman said angrily, "That's because you don't know much! Anyone who lives in Leshan knows that you must not come to the Buddha's feet when you have chickenpox, or you will be caught and eaten by demons."

Song Qingshu asked: "Boatman, are you talking nonsense?"

The boatman pretended to be mysterious and said: "That is, water flooded the Buddha's knees and burned Lingyun Cave!"

"Water flooding the Buddha's knees?" Song Qingshu glanced at the Buddha's knees suspiciously. It was at least seven or eight feet high from the water where he was now. What kind of water could submerge the Buddha's knees.

"Then I really hope that the water will rise now, and let me see what the monster looks like." Song Qingshu looked at the Buddha and said softly, "The water flooded the Buddha's knees, and the Lingyun Cave was burned. Where is this Lingyun Cave?"
