Chapter 427 Patriarch Was Stolen? If you don't destroy this country of thieves, you will never be a human being!
"Look at the way these Silla monks look at us, they are really scared! Ha!"

In the relatively spacious and comfortable wing room in Shengqing Temple, the thirteen monks were sitting or standing, and they were in a good mood.

To be honest, the Shaolin monks were a little panicked when they were waiting outside the temple.

After all, they didn't have the ability to discuss the Dharma. If the Abbot Yuanguang showed up directly and opened the altar immediately, without even giving a chance to delay, the two sides would show their true colors and lose all face once they got on the stage.

Fortunately, people with higher status are less likely to act rashly. When the Zhiguo monk came forward and invited them to live in the temple, and then said that the abbot wanted to discuss it as appropriate, all the monks knew that the other party had been fooled, and they relaxed in their hearts. Put on an air of arrogance.

The Silla monks are more and more like this, living in the best rooms and serving the best food. Although compared with the heyday of Shaolin Temple, it is still very simple, but this attitude makes them very proud.

After three days like this, it was confirmed that the attitude of this group of monks was not a disguise, surrounded by monks from the outside, and a few people in the middle discussed it.

Zhijian said: "With the Buddhist attitude of noble people in Silla, as long as these monks don't dare to confront us, we can contact many high-level officials and collect information well. Brother Zhiran, you are the only one among us who can speak Silla dialect. , this matter is entrusted to you."

Zhiran clasped his hands together: "Brother, don't worry, I have been walking around in the temple for the past few days, and found that the incense here is very prosperous, and all the nobles pay respects. It seems that many noble women from Silla have also heard the news and want to listen to our lectures on Buddhism."

Zhi Jian said seriously: "Silla women are no more important than my Tang women, so don't pay attention to them, just wait for the nobles to come to your door."

Zhi Xingdao: "Follow Li Geling's order and contact Dazhuan General Jin Qintu. He is the prime minister, and he can handle many officials by himself. He had a good impression of us before."

Zhi Jian nodded: "It would be the best if we can become Jin Qintu's guest, we..."

Halfway through the conversation, the younger brother who was letting the wind outside suddenly exclaimed: "Senior brother is not good, the abbot of this temple has come in person."

The complexion of the monks suddenly changed, and when they came to the window and looked out, their pupils shrank immediately.

A group of monks appeared in a mighty manner.

This time, Yuanguang not only sat high on the Buddhist chariot, but was carried by eight powerful monks of Kongwu, and there were many scriptures in the front and back. On the other hand, a young novice monk with delicate features sprinkled flower petals, and some disciples recited scriptures loudly.

Although Shaolin monks have not seen Master Xuanzang with their own eyes, it is estimated that the real Buddhist monk did not have such ostentation.

They were not afraid of the opponent's bluff, but they were afraid of directly discussing the law, so they showed their timidity and couldn't help feeling guilty.

Zhixing carefully observed Yuan Guang's expression, and found that the old monk had no waves in Gujing, and he couldn't see any movement. But when he got close, he looked at the most gorgeously dressed personal disciples, and found that their expressions were a little weird, and they seemed to have a kind of The feeling of self-control is strange.

They don't have real talents and learning, so it's just a guilty conscience. Since the other party dared to show up, why is it guilty?
In any case, the Shaolin monks couldn't escape, so they simply walked out of the house.

The huge Buddhist chariot also stopped in front, and Abbot Yuanguang strolled down amidst the fluttering of petals.

The two sides saluted: "Amitabha Buddha!" "Namo Maitreya Buddha!"

Zhijian encouraged himself, and acted first: "Master is here, it seems that the day of discussing the Dharma is set, I don't know when we will be able to experience the sublime teachings of Buddhism in your country?"

Zhijian was already tall and big, but if his tone was a little more passionate, he would appear more confident, and he even called him master specially, he was unwilling to admit the name of abbot.

Facing this aggressive question, Yuan Guang smiled kindly: "I am not here to discuss the Fa, but to discuss the origin with you!"

Zhi Jian frowned when he heard that it was not a discussion of the Dharma, but he did not dare to relax: "Yuan Yuan? What is the origin between us?"

Yuan Guang smiled and took out a few letters: "In the past few days, I have deliberately found out the letters between Master Huiyi, the abbot of your monastery, please have a look."

Zhijian took it, looked carefully, nodded and said: "It is indeed the handwriting of the former abbot of my temple."

Yuan Guang raised his eyebrows: "Isn't the abbot of your temple Master Huiyi?"

Zhijian didn't want to say more, and said calmly: "Uncle Huiyi has passed away."

Yuan Guang's expression was unrecognizable, and he secretly thought that God is helping me, and sighed: "I was discussing with Senior Brother Huiyi to make that important matter public, but Senior Brother Huiyi went there first, what a pity!"

Zhijian got up solemnly: "What's the important thing to ask Master?"

Yuan Guang said: "It's about the background of Patriarch Bodhidharma."

As soon as these words came out, Zhiran, the interpreter, was puzzled at first, and the Shaolin monks were also stunned after saying this.

Yuan Guang has already stretched out his hand, pointing to a quaint sutra pillar: "This is the mantra left by Patriarch Bodhidharma in Silla when he was young. Because it is too profound, few people can understand it so far."

Zhiran looked over and found that this scripture building was quite old, and it was not a matter of esoteric or not. Many handwritings on it could not be read. Just about to ask, Yuanguang took out a jade-shaped Buddha seal: "Everyone, please look at it." , This is the Buddha Heart Seal left by Patriarch Bodhidharma."

Zhiran didn't realize what the other party meant by addressing his younger brother, but he immediately shook his head and said, "Patriarch Bodhidharma's Buddha Heart Seal is not a real thing. The Buddha Heart is the true heart of all living beings. Change, like the seal in the world, so it is called seal."

Although they do not have the level of Dharma, but they grew up in Shaolin Temple, they are still very clear about the basic idea of Zen: "The purpose of Zen is to show the Buddha's heart seal, and to realize the principle of non-duality between Buddha and everything, so our Zen can also be called Zen Buddhism. For the Buddha Heart Sect, the Buddha Heart Seal is a virtual thing, how could Patriarch Bodhidharma leave such a stone seal?"

Yuan Guang didn't rush, and smiled slightly: "It is not only for Buddhist principles, but also for Buddhist implements. This is the great wisdom of Patriarch Bodhidharma. , Master Huiyi, the abbot of your temple, also admitted that he had misunderstood where Patriarch Bodhidharma came from before, but now he knows that Patriarch Bodhidharma is from Silla."

Zhiran didn't understand it for a while, or he understood it, but didn't dare to believe it, so he was just stupid.

Since the other twelve monks did not understand Silla dialect, they listened to the exchange between the two, and then found that Zhiran was stunned, thinking that he had lost the wind in debating Buddhism, so they hurriedly said: "Junior brother, don't be brave, let's discuss things together, he said what?"

Zhiran faltered for a while: "He said that Patriarch Bodhidharma was a monk from Silla..."

The other twelve monks were also dumbfounded.

Zhijian was the first to react: "The patriarch obviously came to China from Tianzhu to teach the Dharma, so what has it to do with Silla? How can his evidence prove that it is the patriarch's property?"

Zhiran began to question: "Can you prove that they were left by Patriarch Bodhidharma?"

Yuan Guang asked, "Can you prove that they were not left by Bodhidharma?"

Zhiran: "..."

Yuan Guang continued to ask questions: "Patriarch Bodhidharma was born in Tianzhu, but someone saw it with his own eyes. Did he say everything? Could it be that Patriarch Bodhidharma did not hide his origin because of unavoidable difficulties?"

Zhiran: "..."

Yuan Guang Tu saw: "To tell the truth, Patriarch Bodhidharma is a member of our clan. He went to the Middle Earth, and for the convenience of preaching, he concealed his identity and showed him as Tianzhu. We didn't know it until we found out through various evidences. Patriarch Bodhidharma's painstaking efforts should be justified, let him recognize his ancestors and return to his ancestors in Silla."

Shaolin monks: "..."

In fact, Bodhidharma is not far away, that is, he came to the Central Plains more than a hundred years ago. During the Northern Wei Dynasty, he taught Zen in Luoyang, Songshan and other places.

Of course, Zen Buddhism flourished later, and many deeds of Bodhidharma were publicized by later generations, which must have been packaged and deified by religion. As for which ones are true and which ones are false, later generations have been unable to verify.

There is also a small prophecy here, which says that when Bodhidharma passed the mantle to the second patriarch Huike, he told him that after two hundred years of my death, the mantle will be passed on to the sixth patriarch, and there is no need to pass it on, because at that time, Zen The Dharma has been spread all over the world, and it really came to the sixth patriarch Huineng.

I am originally from the soil, teaching the Dharma to save the lost love. One flower blooms five leaves, and the result is natural.

But in fact, the Six Patriarchs of Zen sect fought bloodily, and it was even worse when it came to the Seven Patriarchs. Historically, there were at least five Zen Patriarchs who were considered as the Seven Patriarchs, let alone the Eight Patriarchs. In the "Six Patriarch Altar Sutra", "clothing is a dispute, don't pass it on to you". Since these histories are not widely spread and controversial, the recognized inheritance of Zen Buddhism ends with the Sixth Patriarch Huineng.

Shaolin monks don't know these histories, and they don't have much culture. Seeing each other's eloquent words, they can't fix it. You look at me, and I look at you.

Seeing the other party's reaction, Yuan Guang immediately smiled and became more compassionate: "Namo Maitreya Buddha, Patriarch Bodhidharma is from Silla, you can also be regarded as fellow students, please treat yourself in the temple as your own, don't be polite, I still have to investigate more ancient people in Silla whose truth has been concealed, so I leave."

The Shaolin monks stared blankly at him to leave, then quietly returned to the wing room, thinking silently.

After a full quarter of an hour, Zhiran said: "We are here to discuss the Dharma, why did the patriarch become a Silla man instead, this place is terrible!"

Zhijian looked at the letter in his hand: "Did the host really discuss the origin of Bodhidharma with this Silla monk?"

Huiyi had correspondence with many monasteries. After his death, the internal guards checked for a long time, and some non-staff personnel worked non-stop for several days, but Zhixing thought about it and said decisively: "No, the presiding master and uncle These foreign monks contacted because our temple’s status in the Tang Dynasty was rather embarrassing, and it was difficult to compete with those famous temples in terms of Buddhism. The presiding uncle used this to promote the reputation of Shaolin. I have been waiting to come to Silla, how can I wait until now?"

The other monks nodded one after another: "Indeed!"

When it comes to the origin of the ancestor, there is nothing more important than this, it is impossible to appear suddenly, so...

All the Shaolin monks woke up like a dream, they all picked up their sticks, their faces flushed red: "An dare to tell such a big lie, humiliate my family, steal my ancestor, don't destroy this thief country, swear not to be human!!"
