Chapter 706. 705. Contradictory Buddha

Chapter 706. 705. Contradictory Buddha
In the early morning, the genius was just getting light.

Xuanzang woke up from meditation.

Another night passed, and even though it was already spring, frost was still common in the early morning above Tianmu Mountain, and it would only disappear when the sun rose.

Moreover, perhaps because of the rain that just finished, the entire Tianmu Mountain is very humid.

When Xuanzang opened his eyes, the only hair on his head, the drops of water on his eyebrows, instantly shook off with the blinking of his eyelids.

The drops fell on that plain face.

Compared with the handsomeness before, although he can still vaguely see the outline of the past from the facial features at this moment, his appearance has changed greatly.

Except for those eyes full of compassion and wisdom, everything else looks ordinary.

After waking up, he got rid of the kind of sitting that violated the principle of human joints, stepped on the monk's shoes, and walked out of the small room.

The house is really small.

Even the walls are crooked.

He didn't build a house, so he just made a boxy... something like a warehouse.

The top is covered with thick straw.

Also pressed a few stones.

Two days ago, the wind blew away a lot of straw from his house, and it leaked badly when it rained.

Only then did he realize that the roof of his thatched hut was too thin.

As for the bed, you can't hand over the bed at all.

It's just that the stone platform built up is covered with hay.

And the length of the stone platform is even less than one person.

In addition to the stone platform, there is only a gourd ladle hanging on a wooden wedge in the room.

The rest are a few bottles and cans that are placed on the "bed".

He doesn't need to sleep, he just needs to meditate.

So don't need such a big place.

After leaving the house, there is a very simple wooden shed outside, and an earthen stove is built under the shed.

There is also a pottery bowl full of smoked black on top of the clay stove.

Then, there is a wine jar next to it.

It was left by the drinking guests at the Bailian Fahui, and he picked it up here.

The rain has been good for the past few days, so I drink it from the rain.

But if there is no rain, it is always inconvenient to go to the opposite side to find those senior brothers.

And next to the jar, there are some dead branches.

Not much, it looks like if you really burn the fire, you can use it up after two or three burns.

But Xuanzang was already used to all this, and when he came to the earthen stove, he threw a few sticks of firewood into it, and then took out a ball of tinder like cotton wool from his bosom.

The weather here is humid, and the velvet is useless if it gets wet, so you have to pack it with you.

After pulling out a little bit and putting it on the firewood, he turned and went back to the house.

When he came out again, he already had a small piece of hemp rope in his hand and a handful of brown rice in his hand.

Put the brown rice in the bowl, and he started to twist the hemp rope.

After rubbing the hemp rope loose, it became a pile of flocks and put it on the tinder.

Then he flicked his finger into the hole...

The tinder was windless and natural, and soon ignited the hemp rope.

Then, wisps of green smoke rose.

The fire will be raised.

Then he went back into the house and came out with two jars.

A piece of thread was hanging from a jar.

The thread ends are hung from branches so that they don't fall completely into the jar.

But when Xuanzang lifted the branch, the thread looked oily, and a crystal clear jade ring was tied to the bottom.

This jade ring was given by believers who came here for pilgrimage.

He finds it very convenient.

The expensive jade ring and the vegetable oil hanging on it were smashed on the pottery bowl twice, and a few drops of oil and water fell on the handful of brown rice.

Then, he picked up another earthen jar, which contained some shepherd's purse pickled with salt.

It was given by the brothers in the monastery opposite.

When I gave it to myself, I chopped it into pieces.

taste good.

It's just a little bit bitter.

I didn't dare to put more, just picked up a chopstick, about a mouthful.

Then he turned again and took the bottles and jars back into the house.

His fingers suddenly became crystal clear, and a circle was drawn around those bottles and cans.

The place where the stone platform was rubbed with his fingers in a circle turned out to be golden, but it disappeared soon.

And if someone who is knowledgeable sees this golden light, he will definitely call out the name of the technique on the signboard of Bodhi Temple with a wave of unbelievable absurdity:

"Vajra Subduing the Demon Circle!?"

Bodhi Temple's method of subduing demons and suppressing demons!

This circle is here, the demons are not close, and all evils are not invading!
It was actually used in such a place! ?

But Xuanzang didn't think it was a big deal.

There are many mice in this place, not because I am reluctant to give some rice grains to eat, but if I give one, there will be a second, third, or even a dozen.

He finally discovered the falsity of his compassion.

The Buddha can feed eagles with his body, but when he was on the other side of those mice, one could be merciful, and the other two were sympathetic, but when there were too many, they chirped. But just feel sad.

If that's the case, it's better not to see it.

Then, he went out again, picked up two bamboo sticks next to the stove, stirred up all the rice, vegetables, and oil in the clay bowl, got up and walked among the dewy weeds.

Chunri's horseshoe vegetables came out the earliest, and he had already discovered them yesterday.

Walked over, picked it, shook the soil on it, and said "Amitabha" silently.

Then he scooped up some water with a ladle, and after rinsing, he tore the horseshoe vegetables into pieces, and threw them into the clay bowl that had started to smoke.

The clay bowl has become hot.

He scooped half a scoop of water and added it.

This is his breakfast.

And after doing all this, he didn't go to any morning classes like worship, but just stood in front of the fire and started to daze.

And thinking about a question.

Every plant and tree in this world is a creature, but what about us?
So do we.

The Buddha said that all things coexist, but he didn't tell us how to coexist.

Horseshoe vegetables are also life.

But for the sake of appetite, I forcibly deprived it of its life, and even threw it into the pot after "cutting into pieces".

These brown rice are also life, even seeds, but the "young son", but in order to keep his own life from being starved to death, he became the food in his own mouth.

Does this count as killing yourself?
Live for plunder?

And what about the oil?

The Taoist said that vegetable porridge has no oil and is not fragrant.

This method of frying rice with oil first, and then cooking porridge with pickles was taught by Taoist priests.

Because he is a vegetarian, Taoist always thinks of ways to make delicious food for himself.

but……

Rice is a seed.

Oil is also pressed from the seed.

Horseshoe vegetables are also life.

Even after death, these salty shepherd's purses will suffer from the burning of thousands of salt grains.

they……

What's wrong?

What the hell did he do in his previous life to enter that animal realm, to be reincarnated like this, to suffer so much, and finally to be turned into that pile of pickled things to be excreted and humiliated?
And what role did he play in this?
To end suffering?
Or is the pain continuing?
He... doesn't quite understand.

Can't figure it out either.

If all these people turn their hearts to the Buddha, the Buddha will naturally open the door of convenience and save all living beings from the sea of suffering.

Why are they unwilling?

Is it difficult to practice Buddhism?

Even if you are illiterate or do not know how to recite scriptures, you can chant Namo Amitabha Buddha with kind thoughts in your heart, and you can also eliminate disasters and solve difficulties.

is it hard?
However, if everyone in the world practices Buddhism, convert to Buddhism and sincerely worship Buddha.

And is it true that all people can become Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, Vajras, and golden bodies that are impenetrable by all heavens and ten thousand dharmas?
isn't it?
There are...too many people in this world.

There won't be so many Buddhas.

But if you don't become a Buddha, you won't be immortal.

Then you can't live the same life as the heaven and the earth, and you can't grow old or die.

They will still die.

And they will all die, so what is the difference between cultivating Buddhism and not cultivating?
What's more... If everyone in the world upholds the Buddha's mind and body, and overcomes the boundless sea of suffering, and the Buddha washes away their sins, who will be reincarnated as this grass or tree?
They have all converted to Buddhism and been forgiven.

But without vegetation, cattle and sheep will starve to death.

Cattle and sheep starve to death, and those carnivorous wolves, tigers and leopards will also starve to death.

Without wolves, tigers and leopards, without mountain flowers and weeds, people would starve to death.

Then this world...

Wouldn't it be dead?
When all the people in the world are dead, how can we practice Buddhism?

If there is nothing to cultivate, will Buddha still exist?
What is the meaning of its existence?
Isn't all this contradictory?

Buddhism has boundless wisdom, why...does no one want to understand this?

Or... the so-called ultimate bliss is just like the White Lotus Puja, where all beings get their wishes fulfilled in an illusory dream, for liberation?

He still couldn't understand this question.

Think about it every day.

Think every night.

No matter how I think about it, I can't figure it out.

But every time I get into the horns, I always think of that sentence in my mind.

What the priest said to him:
"Monk, if you practice Buddhism, you can't save this world."

Taoist.

If cultivating Buddhism can't save...

How can Xiu help?
