Chapter 1 Wedges

Evening mist.

On a country road, a Porsche Cayenne drove slowly by.

In the car, sat two people.

The man driving the car was surnamed Sun. He was about 37 or [-] years old. He was born with big arms and round waist, broad shoulders and thick back. His pair of willow-leaf eyes seemed to never be opened, but they were full of viciousness, like four eyebrows, hiding a knife in his smile.

The man on the co-pilot was surnamed Huang, who was about the same age as Mr. Sun, with sharp eyebrows and drooping eyes, wide nose and thick lips. At first glance, his facial features were sharp and angular. Unfortunately, like Mr. Sun, he had a big heart and a fat body, with too much flesh on his face. In addition, Mr. Huang's neck is a bit short naturally, so he looks like Mr. Sun with a fat head and big ears, middle-aged and greasy.

"Brother Sun, it's been around for more than two hours. Are you lost?" Mr. Huang looked at the familiar scenery outside the window, and asked for the first time.

"Don't panic~" Mr. Sun replied, "I drove according to the navigation, if you don't believe my navigation, you have to believe it?"

"This place is in the wild mountains..." Mr. Huang continued with hesitation, "I don't think the navigation may be accurate."

"Then what should we do?" Mr. Sun immediately said in a tone like a dead pig not afraid of boiling water, "You have seen it yourself. No, then you can only continue driving by following the navigation."

"So when I passed by that gas station before, I asked you if you want to find a local to ask how to drive." Mr. Huang said, "You insist that there is a navigation, it's fine, don't you think it's a serious situation now."

"What's there to say about your afterthought? Now that you've been driving here, why don't you drive back?" Mr. Sun said.

"Hey..." Mr. Huang sighed, "I really can't stand it anymore, how could I agree to go on a self-driving tour with you, a person like you who can sit on the high-speed rail in reverse, there is a high probability that you will die in the mountains if you leave the road Well, I'm finally going to die at your hands today."

"Shut up for me~" Mr. Sun said in a drawn-out tone, "Don't panic, there's still a lot of oil and it's not too late, so let's drive back."

The two of them talked one after the other, with some swear words mixed in from time to time. Although it sounded like a quarrel to others, it was actually just a common way of communication between them.

Sun and Huang have known each other for many years, and they usually work as game commentators and anchors. You can tell from the cars they drive that they are relatively successful; but you should also understand from their figures that these two people are usually very Do less outdoor activities and sports.

Today they also had a whim, and they decided to drive to an unpopular scenic spot by themselves, but they got lost.

After a while, the fog became thicker and thicker.

The road conditions became worse and worse, and Mr. Sun had to reduce the speed of the car even lower.

suddenly……

"Huh?" Mr. Huang, who was staring out of the window in a daze, seemed to have seen something in the fog, turned his head suddenly, and pushed his glasses on the bridge of his nose, "Brother Sun, there seemed to be someone on the side of the road just now."

"What?" Mr. Sun replied after hearing the words, "Why didn't I see it?"

"I just caught a glimpse of a human-like shadow standing in the fog." Mr. Huang said.

"Damn it, don't scare me." Mr. Sun was a little timid at the time, "Is that a human?"

"Damn it, can you be a ghost if you're not a human?" Mr. Huang's rhetorical question made sense.

The two discussed a few more words, but decided to turn around and have a look. If there is really someone, maybe they can ask for directions.

Anyway, there are no traffic rules on this mountain road, you can turn around everywhere, so they turned back immediately.

As a result, Mr. Sun drove the car back to the place just now and stopped. The two opened the car window and took a closer look, and found that it was really not a person, but a stone statue.

Perhaps because of the age, the head and body of the stone statue have been damaged, only a rough outline can be seen, and it is not clear whether the stone statue is carved as a human, a demon, a fairy or a Buddha.

"Hey, there is a road behind here." Mr. Huang was still sharp-eyed, and after looking there for a few seconds, he vaguely saw a fork in the road behind the stone statue.

"Then... drive in and have a look?" Mr. Sun said.

"Oh, we've lost our way anyway, so let's go and have a look." Mr. Huang said, "There is a stone statue here, which means that the road behind may lead to some temple or something. If you go there, you may meet Someone asked for directions."

"If you want to say that... it seems to make sense." Mr. Sun started to turn the steering wheel while muttering.

So, they just drove into the fork behind the stone statue, and then both disappeared in the foggy forest in the evening...
